Attorney Giacomo Tolomeo is a native of North Haven and currently practices law from his North Haven and Vernon offices. The son of Italian immigrants and a first-generation Italian American born in Connecticut, Giacomo grew up witnessing firsthand the sacrifices, perseverance, and determination of a family that came to this country in search of a better life. From a young age, he worked alongside his father in the family construction business, where he learned not only the value of hard work, accountability, and commitment to clients, but also what it meant to build a business through personal relationships, reputation, and trust.
Giacomo often reflects on a time when a handshake carried meaning and a person’s word was the foundation of a business relationship. Although today’s business and legal environment has become far more complex, those principles continue to shape his approach to practicing law. Inspired by his parents’ sacrifices and by his father’s determination to build a successful business, Giacomo became an attorney so that he could provide businesses and families with the trusted legal guidance, practical understanding, and personal commitment they need to navigate important transactions and challenges.
Giacomo attended the University of Connecticut (UCONN) at Storrs, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1999. His professional career began with KPMG, followed by positions of increasing responsibility with Arthur Anderson, Cummings & Lockwood, and Weinstein and Anastasio. These experiences provided Giacomo with a unique foundation at the intersection of law, accounting, taxation, and business. This allowed him to develop a practical understanding of both the legal and financial considerations that influence important business and personal transactions. Working alongside experienced attorneys, accountants, and business professionals also shaped the multidisciplinary approach he continues to bring to his clients today.
In January 1, 2007, Giacomo established his own law practice. Where he serves as Managing Partner and built a practice focused on helping businesses, individuals, families, entrepreneurs and closely held businesses navigate significant legal and financial matters. Over the years, his practice expanded to include sophisticated transactional work involving business formation and acquisitions, contracts, taxation, real estate, estate planning and probate. His accounting background, combined with his legal experience, allows him to evaluate transactions from more than one perspective. He is able to help clients identify not only the legal issues involved, but also the business, financial, and tax consequences of their decisions.
In August of 2026, Giacomo joined KKC Law, bringing with him nearly three decades of combined legal, accounting, tax and business experience. Joining KKC provides him with the resources and depth of an established full-service law firm while allowing him to continue the personal, relationship=driven approach that has defined his practice throughout his career.

Meet the Attorney
“I approach each client with an empathetic ear to fully understand their concerns & goals. My job is to advise and advocate for them and ensure their objectives are met. I believe that establishing trust from the outset ensures my clients’ comfort. As their trusted advisor, I shield my clients from the chaos they may be facing by offering a voice of reason in times of confusion and uncertainty. I slow down the process so they are in the best position to understand the leverage they possess and execute their options with confidence and effectiveness. My goal is to bring them a sense of peace and calmness when they feel things may not be going their way and attempt to control their matters through intelligent and strategic advice and execution.”
